Man beaten in broad daylight on Queens street

A 61-year-old man was beaten for no apparent reason on Sunday in Queens. It happened in Ozone Park near the victim’s home, and residents tell Eyewitness News this kind of violence isn’t new. Shahhab Uddin has still not regained consciousness “He was continually bleeding…cut near his eyes,” said Uddin’s grandson, Mohammad Ahmed. Uddin is just the latest victim of what some say is a crime wave that has terrorized the area.

Video shows ATV riders destroying front yard on Long Island

Police are searching for a group of ATV riders who ripped up a front yard on Long Island. The destruction was caught on camera on a snowy Saturday afternoon on January 18 at around 3:15. NYPD Officer wounded in Saturday shooting leaves hospital

Officer Paul Stroffolino was grazed in the chin and neck, but he avoided serious injury, when a gunman opened fire on him and his partner in the Bronx on Saturday night. Hours later, that same gunman opened fire inside a Bronx police precinct, wounding another officer. He was not seriously hurt and the gunman has been taken into custody.
