A Long Island man arrested in lovers` quarrel killing

A Long Island man has been arrested in a crime of passion, killing his romantic partner and stabbing him “over 100 times” in an apparent lovers` quarrel,police said Friday. Ryan Lindquist, of Massapequa, faces a second-degree murder charge after allegedly killing Evan Grabelsky while on date at a Long Island home two weeks ago. Pix11 New York video

Justice for Junior: All 5 defendants found guilty of murder

All the defendants on trial in the brutal murder of 15-year-old Lesandro “Junior”
Guzman-Feliz have been found guilty of murder. After just one day of deliberations, the jury found all five defendants guilty Friday afternoon on all counts, including first-degree murder, second-degree murder and gang assault.
Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago, Jonaiki Martinez Estrella, Jose Muniz and Manuel Rivera and Elvin Garcia were the first five to stand trial out of the 14 arrested and charged in the stabbing Guzman-Feliz. All of the defendants face life in prison. ABC7 New York video

The Enviable Loft Fran Lebowitz Has Never Liked

Creative director Marc Balet bought his three-story loft in Manhattan’s Noho district 30 years ago, when the space was a dance studio. Although it did have a wood-burning fireplace, the beautiful architecture of the arched windows was hidden. Once the full windows were revealed, he called on his best friend, writer Fran Lebowitz, whose father owned a furniture store and upholstery workshop, and asked if her father could create and install the very, very long curtains that are still there today. …
