Police are investigating a spree of violence that left several people dead and dozens injured across NYC on Sunday. Between midnight and 9 a.m. Sunday, there were 23 shootings with 41 victims. First responders are on the scene after a three-story building collapsed in Brooklyn. The incident was reported at 338 Court St. just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A partial stop work order had been issued for failure to maintain the building and it appears to have been under construction. The building housed a gym called Body Elite on the first floor. The NYPD is trying to find a man who threw fireworks towards police in Brooklyn. Police released surveillance video of the incident. It happened on Sunday, June 14 at around 11:20 p.m. on Ocean Avenue in Flatbush. Officials say the man threw the fireworks towards officers and at a police vehicle. ABC7NY News video.
Video shows dozens of people setting off illegal fireworks right in the middle of a street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The man who took the video told Eyewitness News he was driving home Saturday night when he saw a group of people coming around the corner setting off the fireworks. “This mob of probably 50 or 60 people comes around the corner, one with even an Elmo hat on with Roman candles and just blasting everywhere, just running down the middle of the street,” said Topher Maslanka. “Just absolute chaos, just suddenly came out of nowhere.
