December 6 2020 – BROOKLYN, New York: Anti-lockdown protesters gathered at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn on December 6th to “Rally For Freedom” and were met by counter-protesters. The group had several speakers, they sang, and burned masks. Several of the counter-protesters attempted to put out the burning masks with water bottles, signs a nd feet, eventually the confrontation was broken up by the police. At one point, one of the attendees of the rally appeared to tear off a journalists press pass, breaking it, which resulted in a scuffle that required police to call for backup. BLM activists attempted to help the journalist and called for arrest of the perpetrator. There were no arrests and the perpetrator was walked away to safety by the police. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Brooklyn Tuesday night, marching in response to a police shooting in Philadelphia that left a Black man dead following a domestic dispute call. NBC New York News video.

A large crowd gathered to protest in solidarity with Philadelphia protests over the death of Walter Wallace Jr. Who was shot ten times by the police, he was holding a knife according to authorities. The group smashed police cars and some civilian car windows, multiple large businesses such as Bank of America windows were broken and multiple fires set throughout the march. Cops kittled the group on Atlantic Ave between Smith and Boerum Pl and moved in to make arrests, when they tried to stop one car that was following the crowd the driver said “I’m trying to go home,” and closed the door. Police then broke the cars windows with batons and the car then drove through the line of police blocking the vehicle in the front. 31 people were reportedly arrested during tonight’s events. A 19-year-old federal inmate who escaped in Brooklyn was taken back into custody after hiding in a man’s living room for hours. The manhunt for Jhonny Soto swirled through a block on Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park for hours on Wednesday afternoon. An entire neighborhood was on the lookout as cops searched for the fugitive they say somehow escaped from a moving FBI car as agents took him to the federal detention center a few blocks away. Just after 4 p.m., Stephanie Tatsis spotted Soto, with his hands still shackled, in her mother-in-law’s back yard. September 9 2020, Brooklyn, NY: 19-year-old federal inmate caught after escaping custody in Brooklyn. ESU was seen banging on the house doors, evacuating multiple homes during the search. Local restaurants had to close outdoor dining. Prisoner was transported from court back to the MDC when he jumped out on 27th and 3rd, ran through backyards to 26th between 3rd and 4th, according to police. He was later apprehended.
