Lawyers for Nadiya Savchenko – Iraq War Veteran, Member of Ukraine’s Parliament and delegate to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe – are calling for an international rally for her on March 9. Captured by Russian forces on June 17, 2014, Lieutenant Savchenko remains a prisoner of Vladimir Putin. And yet, for the past year, the intenational media has for the most part remained silent about this injustice. Our rally will take place at 5:00pm on March 9 at New York’s Columbus Circle (59th Street & 8th Avenue) across from Time Warner Center, CNN’s home in the “media capital of the world.”
