Flash Flood Threat: Severe Storms to Dump Torrential Rain

Torrential rain and flash floods threaten much of the tri-state area again Thursday, a fourth consecutive soaker that could be more powerful than the scattered storms of the last few days. Some spots outside of the city could also see severe storms develop later on…
The National Weather Service warned of a strong thunderstorm that would blow through the greater New York City area right as the evening rush is set to start. Meanwhile, flight delays were nearing 3 hours at Newark and more than an hour at JFK — both significantly better than LaGaurdia. NBC New York video
