TEACHING ABOUT HATE SYMBOLS: In the wake of recent vandalism, Senator Todd Kaminsky, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas and Assemblyman Charles Lavine unveil legislation to help reduce hate crime graffiti and other acts of intolerance. The law would require middle and high school students across New York State to be educated in the hateful meaning of the swastika and noose as symbols of intimidation, fear and intolerance. ????
