Democrat Alvin Bragg made history in the Manhattan DA’s race.
Alvin previously served as Chief Deputy Attorney General in New York State Office of Attorney General.
Bragg’s top challenger in the 2021 primary, Tali Farhadian Weinstein, conceded the race on July 2, 2021. Bragg won the general election by a wide margin to succeed Cyrus Vance Jr. and to become the first Black man to be elected to the office.
