Top o’ the morning to you! Mayor Adams recently hosted a traditional St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast Reception at Gracie Mansion in the Big Apple, and it was a roaring success. Among the esteemed guests was Tánaiste Micheál Martin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense. He thanked Mayor Adams and the wonderful people of New York for their unwavering support in the peace process in Northern Ireland, highlighting the Good Friday Agreement and the pivotal role of the United States in its success.
As everyone enjoyed their Irish breakfast, Mayor Adams welcomed Congressman Crowley, Senator Tim Kennedy, Councilman Danny Dromm, and Congressman Nadler, the dean of the congressional delegation, to join him on stage. He spoke passionately about the significance of Irish heritage and how important it is to preserve one’s family name and legacy for future generations to come.
The event was a wonderful celebration of Irish-American culture and a tribute to the enduring friendship between the United States and Ireland. From shamrocks to leprechauns, it was a festive and fun-filled morning that will be remembered for years to come. Sláinte!
