Israeli UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan has accused Hamas of committing war crimes during their recent attack on Israel 12356.
Erdan demanded that the UN Security Council condemn the “ruthless terror attacks” by Hamas against Israel and unequivocally condemn Hamas’ war crimes2. He described the reports and videos depicting Hamas’ kidnapping and killing of Israeli citizens as “blatant, documented war crimes” 23.
Erdan also stated that it was time to “obliterate Hamas terror infrastructure” to prevent such horrors from happening again1. He condemned Hamas as a “genocidal Islamist jihadist terror organization” and said that it was “no different than ISIS” 2.
The recent assault by Hamas on Israel has coincided with U.S.-backed moves to push Saudi Arabia towards normalizing ties with Israel in return for a defense deal between the two countries.
