New York news. No Trash, Compost or Recycling Collection on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024

The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that there would be no trash, curbside compost, or recycling collection on Monday, September 2, 2024, Labor Day.

  • Residents who normally receive Monday trash, Curbside Composting, or recycling collection should place their material at the curb Monday evening for collection starting Tuesday, September 3.

Please note that residents may experience collection delays as the we work to pick up the backlog of material; we appreciate patience.
