A police officer was shot in Brooklyn Tuesday evening, authorities said. The officer was reportedly conscious and alert while being rushed to Elmhurst Hospital. The NYPD said that two suspects are in custody, while a third remains at large. The shooting happened near Wilson Avenue and Troutman Street in Bushwick. The FDNY said that the person who was shot is in serious condition.
