The S&P 500 hit a record high Monday morning, surpassing its July peak of 3,027.98. The early gains have the benchmark average on track for its 103rd record close since President Trump’s election victory and 94th since he took office.
The S&P 500, or just the S&P, is a stock market index that measures the stock performance of 500 large companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States.
