The NYS budget is double the budget of Florida despite 2 million fewer people. Fl has a growing population, meaning they require constant building of hospitals, schools, roads. In NYC, everything looks like a third world disaster. Floridians would March on their government with guns if they had to drive on a BQE type/quality highway. Yet despite spending double for less/worse services for a smaller population, NYS is broke. On top of that, NY has cities with massive budgets and city taxes (FL has no state income tax and almost all cities have no city income tax). Yet still broke. Maybe consider not stealing so much? At least for a few months after a pandemic?
