The state of Texas is suing four swing states that certified wins for Joe Biden in a bid to have the Supreme Court keep President Trump in office — as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has volunteered to present arguments in a similar Pennsylvania-specific case before the high court. With six days remaining before the Electoral College meets Dec. 14 to formally elect the next president, Trump allies are putting up their final legal struggle. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, is seeking to toss the Nov. 3 popular vote results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Paxton’s office said the states “exploited the pandemic to justify ignoring federal and state election laws and unlawfully enacting last-minute changes, thus skewing the results.”
