The Supreme Court has dismissed three pending requests to hear challenges to the Trump administration’s order to withhold millions of dollars in law enforcement funds from sanctuary jurisdictions, which are states and cities that refuse to cooperate with Department of Homeland Security efforts to deport illegal residents. President Trump fired hard at Mitch McConnell on March 4th. And at the same time, McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, had been investigated by the Department of Transportation’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) for allegedly abusing her position. Biden’s $1.9 trillion relief package advanced to the Senate with Kamala Harris providing the tie breaking vote as expected. But eight Democratic senators joined Republicans in rejecting Sen. Bernie Sanders‘ proposal of raising the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour.
