Mostly Peaceful Juneteenth marches turn to conflict in New York City Friday

New York City and cities around the nation celebrated Juneteenth with added significance on Friday, holding marches and protests against police brutality and racial injustice. At Columbus Circle, several hundred marchers arrived to find an army of officers protecting two key landmarks — the statue of Christopher Columbus and the Trump Hotel.
